U-MAX® 150mm Front Capped Double Glazed

The U-MAX 150mm Front Capped Double Glazed suite improves the conventional front capped system and includes a thermal break.

 

Featuring an improved head and sill detail, the U-MAX 150mm Front Capped Double Glazed suite is suitable for use in some configurations for use with sub heads. The suite is compatible with our 150mm Front Glazed system and can be offered in the non-broken MAX form to maintain visual unity.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION

  • 138mm or 150mm frame depth dependent on cap selection
  • Front glass plane
  • Compatible with U-MAX 150mm front glazed
  • Can be offered non-broken to maintain visual unity
  • External glazed only
  • Accepts 24mm to 28mm IGUs

  • Improved head and sill detail over conventional front capped systems
  • Suitable in some configurations for use with sub heads
  • Optional cap profiles
  • Structural glazed infil cap vertically or horizontally
  • Adapts to 50mm face dimension box sections
  • Accepts 24mm to 28mm IGUs

APPLICATION

  • Shopfront, ribbon windows, large fixed panels
  • Generally single span, limited to 6.5 metre high applications

 

Whilst principally used as a fixed glazing system it is ideally suited to glazing large panels as the front cap allows full access to the glazing rebate.

LIMITATIONS

  • External glazed only
  • May be used as 2-sided structural glazed; not recommended for 4-sided structural glazed
