Front Glazed Windows have been beautifully integrated into the façade of 115 Church St, Richmond. The EDGE® range is featured heavily throughout the six-story apartment. Look closely and you will find our MAX® 100 front glazed windows, MAX sliding doors, and MAX Acoustic Sliding Door. The project was designed by award winners, DKO Architecture. Their beautiful design paid tribute to the building’s heritage by preserving the original façade and giving it a modern lift by incorporating our MAX 100 Front Glazed Windows.
This was the first project where our glaze in frame option was used – much to the delight of the fabricator, Taranto Windows. They were delighted with the reduction in costs, smaller sightlines, and simplified installation. Another first on this project was the use of the previously mentioned MAX Acoustic Sliding Door. Acoustic frames require a separation between two sheets of glass, with a larger gap typically leading to better acoustics. More often than not acoustic sliding doors require a two-panel door fitted inside a two-panel door – our new design streamlines the product, improving function and appearance, which results in considerable savings over the old product.
