Go metric or go home

Not your father’s aluminium window frames

Aluminium window and door systems came to Australia from the US in the early 1960s. Although Australia metricated in 1966, much of the architectural frame systems industry maintains those original imperial dimensions today.

Why? Because the legacy of existing systems in most companies was too entrenched to allow for a complete reimagining of entire ranges.

When given the opportunity to develop legacy-free suites, our R&D team decided to break free from 50-year-old technology and engineered the EDGE Architectural ranges with a true and complete metric footprint. Our systems offer a complete range of metric products, scoped from thermal break to double glazed and back into single glazed.

Beyond the metric

The U-MAX™, MAX™ and GEN™ aluminium window and door systems, including commercial and sliding door systems are tightly integrated and feature subsill options designed to suit them.

The EDGE Architectural ranges break free from the thinking of the past. This innovative and fresh design allows for energy efficiency, visual unity, design freedom and interchangability of U-MAX™, MAX™ and GEN™ frames across a façade.

But it’s our metric footprint makes EDGE Architectural Systems better by units of 10.
